Autodesk: Fix error 110 with our tutorial

INTRODUCTION

In the following tutorial we explain step by step how to solve the problem 110 in license activation for Autodesk Mudbox or Motionbuilder, providing you with all the material you need for a quick troubleshooting.

ERROR 110 - CAUSES

Autodesk
error 110 usually occurs for updated licenses of Mudbox or Motionbuilder (2023 and 2024 editions), the causes are due to corrupted packages during download and installation of the product, more specifically for the ASR components, contained respectively in the program folders of the software on the device locale.

Whether you have tried several times to uninstall the Autodesk software or you have tried to do a complete clean uninstall, the only solution at the moment is to go in and completely replace the packages in the relevant folders.

The problem affects all compatible operating systems, so
Linux, macOS, and Windows.

DOWNLOAD PACKAGES

The damaged packages are then found in the following paths for each operating system to follow:

macOS: /Library/Application Support/Autodesk/Adlm/ASR

Linux: /var/opt/Autodesk/Adlm/ASR

Windows: C:\ProgramData\Autodesk/Autodesk/Adlm/ASR

REPLACEMENT

In the following example, we take the
Windows operating system as the reference for removing and replacing the mentioned packages for the Mudbox product.

Open the section
"C:\ProgramData\Autodesk\Adlm\ASR" (I recommend copying and pasting it into Windows start directly to open the section).

In this first part, directly delete the contents you find (DO NOT delete the whole folder) below:

MBXPRO202400F_EL_Adlm_asr

MBXPRO202400F_EX_Adlm_asr

MBXPRO202400F_FL_Adlm_asr

Once you have deleted the contents, make sure you have downloaded the new ASR files we have linked to in this guide, then open the download, extract the contents into folder and simply take the new items and drag them inside the newly emptied Adlm folder.

Or simply as you see in the image above.. Replace them directly!

Now, if you still have the program open in the background, open the task manager and terminate the program processes, or restart the PC directly.

Now reopen the software, retry logging in or entering your license activation serial, the program will open and activate regularly.
